ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russia and Damascus have no major disagreements in the work on the draft of a new Syrian constitution, Russian delegation head at the talks in Astana Alexander Lavrentyev said.
"Russia and Damascus have no essential disagreements regarding work on a new [Syrian] constitution. Damascus always said that incumbent Syrian President Bashar Assad underlined this that he does not oppose constitutional reform," Lavrentyev said at a press conference in the Kazakh capital on Thursday.
