ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russia's statement on the cessation of shelling in the parts of Syria freed from terrorists is a positive achievement of the second round of talks in Astana, the head of the Syrian opposition delegation, Mohammed Allouche, said.
"We did reach some positive results at this meeting. An important one of them is Russia's statement on the cessation of shelling of the freed areas by Russia, and they [Russians] undertook to discontinue various kinds of air raids on other regions," he told a press conference in Astana on Thursday.
