MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received Egyptian Ambassador in Moscow Mohammed El-Badri at the latter's request.
"At the talks the interlocutors had a confidential exchange of opinions on topical issues of the regional agenda with an emphasis on the situation surrounding Syria and the situation in Libya," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website on Thursday.
The high-ranking diplomats "also touched upon a number of practical aspects of further boosting multifaceted Russian-Egyptian cooperation," the ministry said.
