MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is not familiar with a Donbas peaceful settlement plan, which, according to media reports, was handed by Ukrainian parliamentarian Andriy Artemenko to the U.S. and which, among other things, envisages the lease of Crimea by Russia, Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said.
"In this case, there is no subject for discussion, we do not know anything of any plans," Peskov told reporters on Monday in commenting on the relevant reports.
"Secondly, there is a general understanding that there is no alternative to the Minsk Agreements and the understanding that, if a political-diplomatic solution can be found for the Ukraine issue, it is only possible on the basis of the Minsk Agreements," Peskov said.
Speaking about the idea of Russia leasing Crimea, Peskov said: "How can Russia lease its own region? The very wording is rather absurd."
