MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - A unit of Russian mine disposal experts that was clearing Aleppo of mines has returned home, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"A solemn ceremony of welcoming and honoring the servicemen who had returned after accomplishing the humanitarian mine clearing task in the city of Aleppo took place on the territory of the Russian Armed Forces' International Mine Action Center in the village of Nakhabino, Moscow region," the ministry's press service said.
State and ministerial awards were bestowed on more than 30 mine disposals experts who returned from Syria, the press service said.
