MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian confirmed that there is no alternative to the OSCE Minsk group format for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
"I am deeply convinced that there is no alternative to the current format of the work of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group," Lavrov told a press conference following negotiations with Nalbandian in Moscow.
"The co-chairs are not doing nothing, I cannot say that about what is now happening in this group of three," the minister said.
The Armenian foreign minister agreed with Lavrov in that there is no alternative to the Minsk group format.
"There is no alternative, we will continue working on peacefully settling this conflict and creating conditions needed for promoting the negotiation process along with the co-chairs (Russia, the U.S. and France)," Nalbandian said.
