Strengthening Russian strategic shield, Aerospace Forces among Armed Forces' development priorities - Putin

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russia continues to develop its Armed Forces, among priorities is to strengthen the strategic nuclear shield and the Aerospace Forces, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a gala concert at the State Kremlin Palace on the occasion of the Fatherland Defender's Day.

"We will definitely continue the work on cadres and the organizational reinforcement of the Armed Forces to increase their mobility and combat-readiness. Among priorities is to strengthen the strategic nuclear shield, modern Aerospace Forces, as well as the strict implementation of the state armament program," the president said.

The growing capabilities of the national defense industry "enable us to confidently realize all our large-scale plans," he said.
