MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy to Montenegro has received no formal request from the country's authorities seeking the detention of Russian citizen Eduard Shishmakov, who is suspected of alleged complicity in a coup attempt in Montenegro, the embassy said.
"Our embassy has received no official request for Russian competent authorities," the Russian embassy told Interfax.
According to earlier media reports, Montenegrin authorities intended request Shishmakov's detention and charge him as part of an inquiry into the recent coup attempt.
