Russian representatives record 9 truce breaches in Syria in past 24 hours - Reconciliation Center

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russia recorded nine ceasefire violations in Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The Russian part of the representative office of the Russian-Turkish joint committee dealing with the breaches of the Single Agreement recorded nine transgressions in the governorates Hama (2), Damascus (2), Idlib (2) and Latakia (3) in the past 24 hours," the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria said in its bulletin.

The Turkish part of the representative office recorded seven violations, it said. "During the inquiry into these incidents the Russian part of the representative office did not confirm all seven incidents," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The governmental troops took control of 203.5 square kilometers in the past 24 hours, the ministry said. "In all, 2204.1 square kilometers have been liberated since January 1, 2017," the document said.
