BISHKEK. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The issue of expanding Russian military presence in Kyrgyzstan has not been touched upon at the talks between the Russian and Kyrgyz presidents of on Tuesday, but Russia is ready to discuss it, if the Kyrgyz side would like it, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We have not yet discussed the issue of reinforcing of the [Russian] military contingent," Putin told a press conference after the talks with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev.
"If Kyrgyzstan finds it necessary to do it, we will discuss it then," Putin said.
