GENEVA. March 2 (Interfax) - The delegation of the Syrian opposition's High Negotiations Committee (HNC) has supported the agenda of negotiation on Syria in Geneva proposed by the United Nations, and it gives hope for progress, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said.
"As I understand, following consultations with [UN envoy for Syria Staffan] de Mistura the HNC delegation agreed with the agenda he had offered, and it gives hope that the deadlock in this process may be resolved," Gatilov told reporters in Geneva.
"For our part, we confirmed full support to Mr. de Mistura's efforts and spoke in favor of a prompt establishment of the intra-Syrian dialogue," he said.
