TSKHINVAL. March 7 (Interfax) - The co-chairs of international discussions on Transcaucasia have held a meeting in Tskhinval, at which a version of the draft document on non-use of force has been presented.
The South Ossetian party has submitted a draft statement on non-use of force at the Tuesday meeting, probably, proposals will be also received from other parties to the Geneva discussions, co-chair from the UN Antti Turunen said following the meeting in Tskhinval. He was hopeful that all elements will be put together in a version, which will be acceptable for all.
In turn, co-chair from the OSCE Gunter Bechler said that a report regarding missing South Ossetian citizens had been compiled. It is being translated, after that it will be presented with South Ossetian counterparts in Geneva, Bechler said.
As to the drills, which NATO is carrying out in Georgia, Bechler said that South Ossetian and Georgian parties also voice concern over this issue.
Head of the South Ossetian delegation, which attended the Geneva discussions, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Murat Jioyev said that the preparation to the upcoming round of the Geneva discussions had been discussed at the meeting.
"We have determined top priority issues, which will be discussed in Geneva. The primary task of the Geneva discussions is still the drafting of a legally binding document on non-use of force," the minister said.
Humanitarian issues and the fact that "Georgian authorities continue to create South Ossetia's negative image in their human rights reports, are providing conditions for representatives of international organizations not to visit South Ossetia" were also discussed at the meeting, Jioyev said.
