MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has set the task of blocking illegal migration channels at a meeting of the Interior ministry board.
"We are creating a civilized transparent environment for those who would like to live and work in Russia, but, no doubt, observing our laws and respecting the traditions and culture of our country. Illegal migration channels and any violation of the migration laws should be resolutely blocked," Putin said on Thursday.
"It is necessary to develop the system of information resources and increase cooperation with the partners in the Eurasian Union" and other countries to monitor the situation and take preventive measures, he said.
