Absence of Syrian opposition's delegation in Astana does not diminish Astana process - Lavrentyev

ASTANA. March 14 (Interfax) - The absence of the Syrian armed opposition's delegation in Astana does not diminish the importance of the Astana negotiations, Russian presidential envoy Alexander Lavrentyev said.

"The absence of the Syrian armed opposition's delegation doesn't diminish the importance of the Astana process. The Astana process is working and confidently moving forward. I would like to assure everybody that three guarantor states have many issues which should be discussed and on which well-founded and thorough decisions should be adopted," Lavrentyev said at a briefing on Tuesday.
