ASTANA. March 14 (Interfax) - Despite the absence of the Syrian opposition at the Astana talks, the work on a few documents continues, Alexander Lavrentyev, the Russian delegation head and the presidential envoy for Syria, said.
"Even now, despite the absence of the Syrian armed opposition, the work on many documents is under way and is going on rather effectively. The fact that the Syrian armed opposition is currently absent here, I wouldn't even make a point of that. This is their decision, the one that they have made," Lavrentyev told a news conference in Astana on Tuesday.
"I believe that they will realize the fallacy of their actions over time and in the future, they will still display prudence and more responsibility," Lavrentyev said.
