Donbas transport blockade announced by Poroshenko is at odds with Minsk Agreements - Gryzlov

MINSK. March 15 (Interfax) - Kyiv has been violating the Minsk Agreements and undermining both Donbas's and its own financial system, Russian envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine Boris Gryzlov said.

"The agreements signed in Minsk two years ago presented a clear plan aimed at this conflict's civilized settlement," Gryzlov told reporters in Minsk.

Clause 8 of the Comprehensive Package of Measures stipulated the complete restoration of socioeconomic contacts, including "the restoration of Ukrainian control over the segment of its banking system in the areas affected by the conflict," Gryzlov said.

However, the events currently evolving in Kyiv demonstrate an opposite trend, Gryzlov said. "Instead of restoring the financial system in Donbas, as stipulated by the Minsk Agreements, the Ukrainian authorities are destroying their own banking system," he said.
