MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - South Korea hopes for Russia's understanding regarding deployment of the U.S. THAAD anti-ballistic missile system, its ambassador to Russia Park Ro-byug said.
"We are deploying the system to protect ourselves from the threat coming from North Korea, not to exert any influence on Russia (...) and other countries that are worried about it. We are explaining it to the Russian side and hoping for its understanding," he said to Interfax on Wednesday.
