Russian Foreign Ministry urges Kyiv to end Donbas blockade, not to turn situation into humanitarian disaster

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Moscow is concerned by the decision made by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on March 15 to stop freight and transportation links with Donbas, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"We are calling on the Ukrainian leadership not to turn the situation into a humanitarian disaster and to finally begin to strictly honor their own obligations under the Set of Measures, including those of restoring socio-economic ties with Donbas," the ministry's department of information and press said in a commentary on the blockade on Wednesday.
