HMEIMIM. March 16 (Interfax) - The Russian military have sent humanitarian convoys carrying UN cargo to two Syrian provinces and have airdropped food in the Deir-ez-Zor area, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a report.
"Over the past day, the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides sent humanitarian convoys carrying UN cargo to Madaya and Zabedani (Damascus province), as well as Kafr Haya and Fuah (Idlib province)," the report said.
"In addition, Russian planes airdropped 20.4 tonnes of humanitarian aid (food) donated by the UN to the Syrian authorities in the Deir-ez-Zor area," it said.
