DONETSK. March 16 (Interfax) - Repairmen of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Emergency Situations Ministry are working to restore power supply in the Yasynuvata district under the Ukrainian armed forces' gunfire, a spokesperson for the DPR Defense Ministry said.
"DPR Emergency Situations Ministry's repair crews began to restore a power transmission line in the Yasynuvata district at 10:40 a.m. The presence of OSCE SMM [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission] and JCCC [Joint Ceasefire Control and Coordination Center] observers on the ground enabled a ceasefire and helped stop the shelling from Ukrainian army positions," told reporters.
However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces started firing small arms upon the site under repairs at 12:40 p.m., he said.
"The work is continuing, and representatives of the OSCE Mission and the JCCC are recording violations," he said.
