Russia yet to appoint new envoy to UN - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - A replacement for the late Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin has yet to be appointed, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told reporters.

"No decision has so far been made. It's up to the leadership," Gatilov said, adding that he was unaware about possible candidates and the time when the appointment may be made.
