U.S. accusing FSB officers of hacking Yahoo accounts attempt to divert attention from WikiLeaks revelations

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - Washington accusing two Russian federal security officers of hacking 500 million accounts of Yahoo users is an attempt to divert attention from the latest WikiLeaks publication, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a Thursday briefing.

"I am not ruling out that this is an attempt to divert global public attention from the latest WikiLeaks materials," Zakharova said.

"I am more than certain that that [is so], given that in European capitals maximum is being done to ensure that in their mass media, the topic of the latest WikiLeaks revelations goes nowhere and is by no means actively developed," she said.
