Over 6,000 advanced weapons, hardware models supplied to Russian Armed Forces in 2016 - Shoigu

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Over 6,000 models of advanced weapons and military hardware were supplied to the Russian Armed Forces in 2016, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The Armed Forces received over 6,000 models of advanced weapons and military hardware last year," Shoigu said during the unified military goods commissioning day on Friday.

Engineering and automotive hardware, means of communication, airborne weapons, and ammunition are being supplied to military units on schedule, he said.
