MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - High-power artillery divisions are being created in the Central Military District to increase the combat capabilities of missile troops, Russian Defense Minister Gen. of the Army Sergei Shoigu told senior defense officials on Monday.
"To raise the combat capabilities of our missile troops and artillery, high-power artillery divisions are being formed. The staffing of the force with contract servicemen continues," Shoigu said.
About 5,000 people were selected in the first quarter of 2017, he said. "The recruitment plan has been fulfilled 100 per cent," the minister said.
