MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani discussed the Syria situation in a phone call on Wednesday.
They emphasized "the importance of concluding local ceasefire agreements, which could improve life of the civilian population and help humanitarian supplies," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a report.
The foreign ministers agreed to continue regular contacts between Russia and Qatar pertaining to the entire range of Syria political settlement issues.
