ARKHANGELSK. March 30 (Interfax) - Russia will not cease rocket engine supplies for U.S. spacecraft as a retaliatory measure to economic sanctions against Moscow imposed by Washington, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We are never acting on the principle: bought a ticket and did not travel. Why? We are never undertaking any steps, which are detrimental to us. Americans have been buying our rocket engines for a long time, and it is profitable to the United States, because they are saving resources, including the resources of their taxpayers, which should have been assigned to build own capacities," Putin said at the Arctic Forum in Arkhangelsk.
"But it is also profitable to us, because this eases the load on our plants," the president said.
The Russian authorities "are never undertaking any steps, which are harmful to business, harmful to our interstate ties," he said.
