Moscow so far cannot confirm meeting between Armenian, Azerbaijani foreign ministers (Part 2)

MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has not confirmed reports that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan may meet in Moscow.

"I do not yet have information that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place in Moscow in the near future," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said when answering reporters' questions in Moscow on Thursday.

Zakharova vowed to share such information if she received it.

"But we do not have it in any form at the current stage," she said.

Zakharova said that she would be able to outline Moscow's stance on the process of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the current stage after the relevant information was collected.

"I will work on this issue and will provide our detailed position assessing the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process. I will draw up a comprehensive report, which I will present at the next briefing instead of saying two or three general phrases now," Zakharova said after being asked to comment on the situation around efforts to resolve the Karabakh conflict one year after a sharp escalation occurred in the conflict area in April 2016.
