ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 3 (Interfax-AVN) - Antiterrorist units of a motorized infantry formation of the Southern Military District stationed in the Stavropol territory have been alerted for drills, a spokesman for the Southern Military District told Interfax.
"According to the drills' scenario, fighters of a simulated illegal armed unit penetrated a military base and attempted to seize the motor pool," the spokesman said.
The servicemen put up a smoke screen, regrouped and seized the firing positions of the 'terrorists'. After the enemy was suppressed, the firefighting team put out a simulated military hardware fire, the spokesman said.
"Antiterrorist units successfully accomplished their mission and demonstrated speed and professionalism," he said.
