Russian Investigative Committee's special inquiries directorate takes up criminal case into St. Pete metro blast

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - A criminal case dealing with the blast in the St. Petersburg metro system will be investigated by the Russian Investigative Committee's central staff, Investigative Committee spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko told Interfax.

"On the orders by Russian Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin, the Investigative Committee's directorate for special inquiries has taken up the criminal case into the explosion in the St. Petersburg metro to ensure a full, comprehensive and impartial investigation," Petrenko said.
