St. Petersburg metro blast injures 47 people, 39 hospitalized - Skvortsova

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Forty-seven people were injured in an explosion in the St. Petersburg metro on Monday, Russian Health Minister Veronica Skvortsova said.

"At present, the number of victims is officially stated as 47. Seven people died at the scene, and one person died during transportation by an ambulance," Skvortsova said on the Rossiya-24 (VGTRK) television channel.

Thirty-nine people have been hospitalized, she said.
