Bomb defused at Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station in St. Pete was stuffed with shrapnel - FSB

ST. PETERSBURG. April 3 (Interfax) - An improvised explosive device, which was discovered and defused by security services at the Ploshchad Vosstaniya station in the St. Petersburg metro, had been stuffed with shrapnel, the Federal Security Service (FSB) department for St. Petersburg said on Monday.

"An improvised explosive device stuffed with shrapnel was found at the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station at around 3:00 p.m. The device was defused by bomb disposal experts in a timely manner, no one was hurt," the report said.
