MOSCOW. April 7 (Interfax) - The U.S. strike on the Shayrat airfield in Syria increases the risk of military incidents in Syria, State Duma defense committee first deputy head Andrei Krasov told Interfax on Friday.
Russia suspended the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Prevention of Flight Safety Incidents after the United States delivered the strike on Syria.
"Certainly, the blame will fall on the United States," Krasov said, speaking about the possibility of escalating the tensions in Syria and the risk of incidents between Russian and the U.S. coalition's aircraft in Syria.
It is pointless for Russia to adhere to this memorandum after the U.S.' unilateral action, Krasov said.
"Our relations with the United States are already deplorable. These thoughtless actions of the U.S. Administration obviously do not add a positive element," Krasov said.
"When partners can't agree, their dealings come to naught and trouble is their labor's only fruit. We will not be coordinating our actions with the U.S. military command," he said.
