Russian representatives report truce breaches in 4 Syrian provinces - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian side has recorded nine ceasefire violations in Syria in the past 24 hours, Turkey - 19, but Russia did not confirm them, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"The Russian side of the representative office of the Russian-Turkish joint committee dealing with breaches of the Single Agreement has recorded nine violations in the provinces Damascus (3), Latakia (2), Hama (3) and Daraa (1) in the past 24 hours," the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria said in a bulletin posted on the Russian Defense Ministry website on Tuesday.

The Turkish side of the representative office has recorded 19 breaches of the Single Agreement in the provinces Aleppo (8), Damascus (3), Daraa (1), Idlib (2), Hama (3) and Homs (2), it said.

"During the inquiry into these incidents the Russian side has not confirmed all 19 violations," the document said.

Two agreements on joining the cessation of hostilities have been signed with the populated localities Al Bayad in the Damascus province and Al Sabah in the Quneitra province in the past 24 hours.

"The number of populated localities, which joined the reconciliation process, rose to 1,452," the Center said.

The governmental forces have liberated 3,856.1 square kilometers of area from militants this year, the Russian Defense Ministry also said.
