MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russia is interested in space cooperation with the United States, Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said on Wednesday.
"We have no differences in this issue. Both the U.S. and Russia are interested in continuing this cooperation for development of space science," Matviyenko told reporters.
"This is an area [of cooperation] which we value and find it important to continue," she said.
Space industry scientists are currently continuing cooperation, Matviyenko said. Furthermore, foreign astronauts regularly take training courses at the Cosmonauts Training Center outside Moscow, while Russian ones undergo such training in the U.S., she said.
