U.S. has no proof of Syrian army's role in Khan Sheikhoun chemical attack - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax-AVN) - U.S. special services have no evidence able to confirm Syrian government forces' involvement in the April 4 chemical attack in Syria's Idlib governorate, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"If American special services intend to further make a secret of the evidence they allegedly have concerning crimes against humanity, such actions can have only one explanation that any indisputable evidence simply does not exist," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told reporters when commenting on Western media reports that Syrian government forces' communications on preparations for the chemical attack on the town of Khan Sheikhoun in the Idlib governorate had been intercepted.
