Russian military deliver 3.6 tonnes of humanitarian aid in Syria in past 24 hours

HMEIMIM. April 17 (Interfax) - The Russian military carried out seven humanitarian operations in Syria, including six in the Aleppo province and one in the Latakia province, in the past 24 hours, the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria said in a report.

"People in the Salah al-Din, Old Aleppo, Balat Tahtani, al-Shaba Kadim, Terabl al-Halek and Karm al-Dodo districts of the Aleppo city received 3,000 portions of hot food and 1.8 tonnes of bread. A total of 1.2 tonnes of food were delivered to Javtlik in the Latakia province," the report said.

In all, humanitarian aid was supplied to 3,373 residents over the past day. The relief had a total weight of 3.6 tonnes, it said.

Meanwhile, the United Nations and its partners continued to provide medical, psychological and legal assistance to Syria. Restoration of infrastructures went on alongside the provision of temporary lodgings, the center said.
