MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - Moscow is calling on the world community to provide an appropriate assessment to another crime in the Syrian province Idlib, where a bus convoy with refugees has been assaulted.
"A suicide bomber has attacked a bus convoy with refugees from the Shiite enclave al-Fouah and Kefraya in Rashidin, an Aleppo suburb, on April 15. According to coming reports, the terrorist managed to get closely to a parked bus convoy in a mined car under the disguise of a 'rescuer' with food rations and gifts for children. The terror attack killed over 130 people, including 68 children," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary posted on its website on Monday.
"We resolutely condemn a barbaric terror attack against a convoy with refugees. We believe that all members of the international community should give an appropriate assessment to this crime. It is beyond any doubt that the incident became possible due to West's unconstructive approaches to the issues of the fight against international terrorism in Syria," the ministry said.
"An act of U.S. armed aggression against a sovereign Syria on April 7 is a definite demonstration of a policy of 'double standards'," it said. "At this background terrorists lifted their spirits and put faith into them going unpunished," the Foreign Ministry commentary said.
