MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has held telephone talks with French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.
"The leaders of the "Normandy Quartet' countries once again reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of the Minsk agreements in the sphere of security and on the political aspects of the settlement process. They welcomed the agreement on resuming the Easter truce reached during the Contact Group's session on March 29 and underscored the importance of strict compliance with it," it said.
The leaders also called for more active steps to resolve the problem of securing an 'all-for-all' exchange of persons being held and expressed regret over threats in relation to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
In addition to that, the sides thanked Hollande "for his efforts within the 'Normandy Quartet'" and expressed hope that his "work in this format would also continue after the presidential election in France."
