MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Russian military police have provided security for 350 humanitarian operations in Syria, Russian Defense Minister Gen. of the Army Sergei Shoigu said.
"Up to now, military police units stationed in the Syrian Arab Republic have provided for the security of Russian doctors during 92 visitations by civilians, in addition to 350 humanitarian operations and over 60 humanitarian truck convoys," Shoigu said at a meeting of the Defense Ministry's board on Friday.
Besides, military police protected and manned the checkpoints of Russian bases in Hmeimim and Tartus and accomplished other combat, special and humanitarian missions, the minister said.
