MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian military have used cruise missiles with a range of up to 1,500 kilometers during the operation in Syria to destroy terrorists' critical facilities, Col. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi, the chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, said on Wednesday.
"To destroy terrorists' critical infrastructure facilities, we have used air and sea-based cruise missiles from surface ships, submarines and strategic missile carriers at a range of up to 1,500 kilometers, and also long-range bombers," Rudskoi said at the 6th Moscow Conference on International Security.
"The composition of the Russian aviation group in various periods of the operation guaranteed the performance of combat missions," he said.
