LUHANSK/KYIV. May 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian armed forces have shelled the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) six times in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the LPR militia told Interfax.
"The Ukrainian military breached the ceasefire six times over the past twenty-four hours, using 120mm and 82mm mortars, a BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, an SPG anti-tank grenade launcher, an AGS automatic grenade launcher and small arms," the spokesman said.
Districts of the populated localities of Pervomaisk, Kalynivka, Frunze and Kalynove came under attack, he said.
"The attacks did not inflict any casualties or damage," he said.
For its part, the press center of the headquarters of Kyiv's military operation in Donbas said that Ukrainian military positions had been shelled 55 times and four Ukrainian servicemen had been wounded in the past 24 hours.
In the Mariupol sector, the militia shelled Ukrainian army positions near Pavlopil, Hnutove, Krasnohorivka, Talakivka and Shyrokyne, the press center said.
In the Donetsk sector, Ukrainian military positions were attacked near Luhanske, Avdiivka, Verkhnetorestke, Novhorodske, Mayorsk, Zaitseve and the Butovka mine.
In the Luhansk sector, militia forces shelled Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka, Valuiske, Krymske, Malynove and Stanytsia Luhanska.
