FBI director's dismissal is U.S. internal affair, should be of no concern to Russia - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that the dismissal of FBI Director James Comey will not affect the agenda of the Russia-U.S. bilateral relations, as this is an internal affair of the United States, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We are hoping that this [dismissal of Comey] will have no impact [on the bilateral relations]. This is absolutely an internal affair of the U.S.," Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

Peskov described Comey's dismissal as "a sovereign decision by U.S. President [Donald Trump], which absolutely doesn't have and shouldn't have anything to do with Russia".
