DONETSK. May 11 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian armed forces have shelled the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) 37 times over the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the DPR Defense Ministry told reporters on Donetsk on Thursday.
"The armed forces of Ukraine have breached the ceasefire 37 times in the past 24 hours. In all, the armed forces of Ukraine have attacked 13 populated localities of the republic, using artillery, tanks, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers and small arms against them," the spokesman said.
The strikes damaged two houses in Donetsk's Kuibyshevskyi district and one house and a power line in the Petrovskyi district of the city, he said.
It was reported that Kyiv had earlier accused militia forces of 37 attacks over the past 24 hours. According to the Ukrainian military, the attacks were recorded in the Mariupol, Donetsk and Luhansk sectors.
