Charges brought against 3 suspects in St. Pete metro bombing case - Investigative Committee

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - Investigators have brought terrorism and arms trafficking charges against three out of the ten people implicated in the criminal case dealing with the bomb attack in the St. Petersburg metro system in April 2017, Svetlana Petrenko, a spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee, told reporters.

"At this point, ten people are figuring in the criminal case. Three of them, namely Bahram Ergashev, Ibrahimjon Ermatov and Makhamadyusuf Mirzaalimov, have been charged with [committing] an act of terror and trafficking in arms and explosives (Russian Criminal Code Articles 205 and 222.1)," Petrenko told Interfax on Thursday.

The investigation is "looking into connections of every person implicated in the case," she added.
