HeliRussia 2017 show to present Russian helicopters, drones

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Rosoboronexport will present combat and transport helicopters and drones at the HeliRussia 2017 show, a Rosoboronexport spokesman told Interfax.

"Members of the foreign delegations to the exhibition are expected to take interest in the Mi-35M transport and combat helicopter, the Ka-31 radar helicopter, the Ansat light multirole helicopter, and the Mi-26T2 heavy transport helicopter demonstrated by Rosoboronexport," the spokesman said.

In addition, the brand-new Mi-28NE and Ka-52 combat helicopters and the Mi-171Sh and Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopters will be put on display, he said.

"We are expecting keen attention to the Ka-226T light multirole day/night helicopter, whose joint production in India is pending," the spokesman said.

In addition to helicopters, Rosoboronexport will put on display the Takhion and Orlan-10E unmanned aerial vehicles, the interest in which grew after their successful use in a combat environment during the Russian Aerospace Forces' anti-terrorist operation in Syria.

The HeliRussia 2017 show will take place in Moscow on May 25-27. There will be 230 exhibitors from 21 countries, among them Russia, Belarus, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Israel, Australia, Italy, Spain, Malta, Finland, Belgium, Lithuania, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Norway, Libya, the Netherlands, South Africa and China.

Nineteen helicopters, two autogiros and 15 drones will be demonstrated at the show.
