CHISINAU. May 30 (Interfax) - Senior Moldovan officials have discussed issues concerning the Transdniestrian settlement process with mediators and observers in these talks, Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on his Facebook account.
"I welcome the dialogue with the mediators and observers in the Transdniestrian settlement process [ambassadors from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and the United States]. Details will be provided later," Dodon said.
Photos that have been published show that the meeting, which was held at the presidential residence on Monday, was attended by Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Parliament Chairman Andrian Candu, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan, Russian Ambassador Farid Mukhametshin, Ukrainian Ambassador Ivan Hnatyshyn, U.S. Ambassador James Pettit, and Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola.
