Karabakh settlement intermediaries to discuss preparations for Armenian-Azerbaijani meeting in Yerevan - Nalbandian

YEREVAN. May 30 (Interfax) - The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will visit Armenia and the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) next week, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said at a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier in Yerevan on Tuesday.

"The intermediaries will visit Yerevan and Stepanakert ten days from now," Nalbandian said.

As to whether a meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers or presidents was being prepared, Nalbandian said that Yerevan wanted to continue negotiations and meetings on various levels.

"Armenia unwaveringly supports meetings between the foreign ministers and between the presidents. It will be possible to meet if the appropriate atmosphere is created and the appropriate preparations are made," the Armenian minister said.

The meeting may be discussed during the visit of the intermediaries, Nalbandian said.

"So far, on the level of foreign ministers, so that a meeting between the presidents could be arranged," he said.
