MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - Representatives of the Syrian opposition's three platforms, namely the Moscow, Cairo and Riyadh groups, will be sent to Geneva to attend technical consultations on a draft constitution for Syria scheduled for June 15-16, a Syrian opposition representative told Interfax.
"We are going to Geneva. Technical consultations of the UN and the three platforms of the Syrian opposition - the Moscow, Cairo and Riyadh platforms - will be held there on June 15-16," Qadri Jamil, a representative of the Syrian opposition's 'Moscow platform', told Interfax on Tuesday.
"The agenda will include the outlines and general principles of Syria's constitution," he said.
'Cairo platform' leader Jihad Makdissi has confirmed to Interfax that this group will also attend the meeting in Geneva.
"Yes, our group will take part in the technical meeting in Geneva on June 16," Makdissi said, adding that another person, not him, would head the 'Cairo platform' delegation to this meeting.
Meanwhile, a new date for the next round of the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva has not yet been set. It is expected to be preceded by a meeting in the Kazakh capital Astana, a date for which has not yet been set either.
