LPR leader places blame for Minsk Agreements violation on Ukraine (Part 2)

LUHANSK. June 14 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) adheres to the Minsk Agreements and does not breach its obligations, unlike the Ukrainian side, LPR leader Igor Plotnitsky said.

"We have always said and will reiterate that we are not only adherents and signatories of the Minsk Agreements. Also, we have always been true to our word and everybody can see that, unlike the Ukrainian Armed Forces, unlike Ukraine as a whole, we did not violate the agreements, we have always lived up to our obligations and will do so in the future," Plotnitsky told reporters on Wednesday.

"Our main goal is to see the Minsk Agreements, the Minsk process up and running. It has no alternative today. But the Minsk process is being dragged out by the efforts of Germany, France and Ukraine. We can't wait indefinitely for these issues to be solved. We will address them in a different way and use other means," Plotnitsky said.

The Ukrainian side is also dragging out the process of prisoner exchange in Donbas, Plotnitsky added.

"Because Ukraine is constantly dragging out these processes: it modifies the lists, adds some people. There are various readings. [...] In other words, this process is lasting for an indefinite time, while it is clearly said there [in the Minsk Agreements]: "we exchange all for all". We have stated how many we have and that we exchange them for everyone you [the Ukrainian side] have, but I think this is one of the methods to drag out on the Minsk Agreements because if this clause is implemented, then one should proceed to the next one," Plotnitsky said.
