MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax) - Federation Council Defense and Security Committee First Deputy Chairman Franz Klintsevich has described the downing of the Syrian governmental army's plane as a blatant provocation against Russia.
"Obviously, this is not an act of defense. This is an aggression and a provocation, pure and simple. By the way, they are provoking Russia, in the first turn," Klintsevich said on Facebook.
He was commenting on the information that the Western coalition had downed a plane of the Syrian governmental forces.
"It looks like Donald Trumps' United States is a source of a brand-new danger both in the Middle East and the world at large," Klintsevich said.
